Diego Rico UTEP American Marketing Association Chapter in New Orleans

The American Marketing Association (AMA) UTEP Chapter was awarded with three outstanding awards during the 34th Annual International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, LA on March 22nd-24th. The awards included Chapter Planning, Fundraising, and Community Service as well as two prizes from the AMASavesLives competition. The conference had more than 1,100 students from more than 140 different universities.

These awards were given to AMA UTEP for their involvement in different activities on and off campus. Some of the highlights that contributed to these awards include the organization's participation in the International Food Fair where they won 1st place. AMA UTEP also created a campaign on campus for the AMASavesLives project which supports organ donation. In addition to UTEP events and National AMA events, AMA UTEP also helps our local community with their own events like Carving for Kids, in which they carved and donated pumpkins to the Lee and Beulah Moore Children’s home, and Giving is Loving, a Thanksgiving festival where they donated more than 35 turkeys to low income families.
