My name is George White. I am from Somerville, Alabama. I earned a B.A. from the University of Alabama. I then continued my studies at Alabama pursuing post-graduate studies in Asian studies. After living in Taiwan and the Philippines, I returned to the U.S. and earned a J.D. and Certificate in international law from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. I also earned an LL.M. in international commercial law from Emory University. Prior to entering the UTEP Ph.D. program, I worked in the People's Republic of China as a visiting professor at Hebei Normal University and as a government appointed economic adviser to the Shijiazhuang National Hi-Tech Industry Development Zone. My interests are in the field of international business strategy, with a focus on how institutions impact multinational enterprise performance in emerging market economies.
