Dr. Peeter Kirs is a Professor of Computer Information Systems (CIS) and joined UTEP in 1984. He holds an M.B.A. from State University of New York at Buffalo, M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling, Seton Hall University; B.A. in Psychology, State University of New York at Buffalo; B.S. Occupational Therapy, State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Kirs was Assistant Professor, Department of Decision Sciences and Information Systems at Florida International University; Assistant Professor, Department of Management and Marketing at Canisius College, Buffalo, New York. His teaching experiences include graduate and undergraduate computer information systems courses. Dr. Kirs developed Seminar in Decision Support Systems, Ph.D. Program; Systems Analysis, Systems Design, for Master program and for undergraduate program; Systems Analysis & Design I, Systems Analysis & Design II and Introduction to dBASE III Programming. Dr. Kirs has numerous publications to his credit. He has published in such journals as Management Science, Decision Sciences, Management Information Systems Quarterly, and Information & Management.
