Computer Information Systems
Dr. M. Adam Mahmood is a professor of information systems at the Department of Information and Decision Sciences. He also holds the Ellis and Susan Mayfield Professorship in the College of Business Administration. He is a visiting faculty at the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration in Finland, University of Canterbury in New Zealand, and National Sun Yet-sen University in Taiwan. Dr. Mahmood presently serves as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Organizational and End User Computing and a senior editor of the Management Information Systems Quarterly. His research interests center on strategic information systems, decision support systems, information systems security, and electronic commerce. On these topics and others, he has published 5 edited books and over 100 technical research papers. He also teaches undergraduate, masters, and doctoral courses in the aforementioned areas. In addition to teaching, he also supervises masters’ theses, and doctoral dissertations.
