“Ed” Ramirez received his BA in Liberal Arts with a Psychology major from the University of Tennessee in 1993, MS in International Affairs from Florida State University in 1998, MBA in general management from California State University at Dominguez Hills in 2003, and Ph.D. in Marketing from Florida State University in 2010. He also has over 22 years of business experience, serving in front-line through senior-level management positions for large as well as start-up companies. Ed’s research centers on sustainable marketing strategy, services marketing, and philosophy of science. His research has been published, or is forthcoming, in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of Services Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Journal of International Marketing Strategy, and in several conference proceedings. Ed serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, the Journal of International Marketing Strategy, and as an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, European Journal of Marketing, and several other journals. In his spare time, Ed enjoys weightlifting, hiking, camping, biking, kayaking, motorcycle riding, snorkeling, traveling, and reading.
