Miguel A. Ramos holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota (Carlson School of Management). He also holds a M. S. in International Economics and Business from the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden, and a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from ITESM in Mexico. His research interests are corporate strategy (mergers and acquisitions), international expansion, and economic geography. He teaches in the areas of strategic management and international business at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Before joining UTEP Miguel was a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 2006 to 2009. Prior to his academic career he worked for Cola-Cola bottling groups in Mexico in the areas of marketing and distribution.
