Dr. Sid Glandon is an Associate Professor of Accounting. He earned Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology/Anthropology and Accounting from Western Washington University, an MBA from Eastern New Mexico University, and a Doctorate of Business Administration with a major in accounting from Louisiana Tech University. Prior to joining the faculty at UTEP, Dr. Glandon was an assistant professor of accounting for five years at Eastern New Mexico University. Dr. Glandon has been a Certified Public Accountant for over 30 years. He is also a Certified Financial Planner and currently has a practice that is limited to financial planning and investment management. Dr. Glandon was the founder and senior partner of a public accounting firm in Washington State. He provided a wide variety of consulting engagements in addition to the traditional auditing and tax practice. Dr. Glandon's teaching and research interests center on financial accounting and professional ethics. He has presented papers at numerous conferences and conducted workshops. Dr. Glandon has two children and three grandchildren and has been a golfer for more than twenty years.
